Cadets at 10 Timmins Kiwanis Squadron have the opportunity to participate in a variety of exciting training activities above and beyond the weekly training that we do. Each year, our cadets have the opportunity to receive additional training in biathlon, orienteering, marksmanship and band and drill. These cadets may be selected to represent the squadron at local competitions, and if successful may advance to regional and national levels as well.
Each summer our cadets may be selected to participate in summer training courses at Cadet Summer Training Centers across the country where they will be able to advance their skills even further.
One of the most exciting opportunities for cadets is the Air Cadet Flying Program. Each year deserving Air Cadets may be awarded flying scholarships, allowing them to receive their Transport Canada Glider Pilots License or Private Pilots License.
